In the past, Roland has held the positions of Fire Police Captain, Deputy Chief, Fire Police Officer, 2nd Assistant Chief, Vice President, DVFA Delegate, and DVFA Alternate Delegate. Roland serves on the Finance Oversight committee. Roland also has been awarded the Sussex County Volunteer Firefighters Association President. Awarded a Life Membership in 2019
