Indian River’s Winter 2018 Adopt-a-Highway Clean-up Day

Sunday, December 29, 2018

Location: Oak Orchard Road

 

On Sunday, December 29th, 2018, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company coordinated its Winter 2018 Adopt-A-Highway Clean-up program and cleared the entire section of Oak Orchard Road. Approximately seven (7) volunteers arrived at the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company in Oak Orchard and commenced with the clean-up activities picking up the roadside debris which accumulated truck loads and a trailer full of discarded debris.

 This most current Adopt-A-Highway Clean-Up effort was coordinated by Charles Morton Co-Chairman of the Adopt-a-Highway Campaign which many bags of trash and household debris were collected including but not limited to recliner, vacuum, bottles, cans, etc.
