The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company is proud to invite the community to a special Open House at our Long Neck Facility — Station #2 — on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  

This event is designed to welcome residents, families, seasonal visitors, and supporters for an afternoon of learning, exploration, and connection with the volunteers who serve the Long Neck area year?round.

? What Guests Can Expect:

• Station Tours — Walk through apparatus bays, explore fire engines and rescue units, and see firsthand how Station #2 operates.

• Meet the Volunteers — Talk with firefighters, EMTs, and support personnel about training, responsibilities, and community service.

• Apparatus Housing Activities – Presentation of new apparatus and housing into new facility.

• Safety Demonstrations — Learn about fire prevention, home safety, emergency preparedness, and equipment used during real incidents.

• Family-Friendly Activities — Perfect for kids and families, with interactive displays and educational opportunities.

• Community Engagement — Discover how IRVFC supports Long Neck and surrounding communities through emergency response, outreach, and volunteerism.

• New Merchandise - Station #2 theme t-shirts

• Food and refreshments (light fare)
