Nature: Vehicle Accident - Long Neck Road 
Location: Long Neck Rd and Pot Nets Road, 19966

On Saturday, September 26th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Long Neck and Pot Nets Road. Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.  It was reported to be a two vehicle collision with one occupant desiring EMS evaluation. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 and EVAC-1 from the Oak Orchard facility, Incident Command 80 and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. 

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, patient stabilization, traffic control and overall incident mitigation efforts. 

It appears that a maroon Honda Odyssey mini-van and a white KIA SUV collided causing injury and damage to both vehicles. Both vehicles were rendered inoperable.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident. 

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
