Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

On Wednesday afternoon, September 23rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Bay Breeze Lane in the Rehoboth Shores development off Long Neck Road.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad, the Sussex County Paramedics, and the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit - Trooper #2.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. 

Emergency response crew assignments included patient stabilization and evaluation. Many of the dispatched emergency response resources were cancelled and allowed to return to their respective quarters. 

It appears that a person riding an electric scooter hit a speed bud and was thrown off the scooter causing injuries. 

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with the incident where necessary. 

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
