Nature: MVC – Rollover – Indian Mission Road

On Saturday evening, August 29^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a motor vehicle accident involving a rollover on Indian Mission Road near Silicato Drive.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad, the Sussex County Paramedics and the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit – Troop #2.  It was reported two vehicles collided with one vehicle overturned.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, patient stabilization, traffic control, fluid and debris recovery and overall incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a white Jaguar sports coupe and black KIA SUV collided at the intersection causing damage to both vehicle and resulting in one vehicle overturning. The aviation unit was canceled.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated the closure of Indian Mission Road for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
