On Tuesday morning, August 18th, the Indian River (80) and Lewes (82) fire companies were alerted for a vehicle accident with entrapment on Long Neck Road at Landing Road near the entrance to Pot Nets Seaside and Pot Nets Dockside.  Additional emergency alerts included the Sussex County Paramedics and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.  It was reported to be a two vehicle accident with possible entrapment.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine 80 and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated the complete closure of Long Neck road for the duration of the incident.
