Nature: MVC – BLS - John J. Williams Highway @ Oak Orchard Road

On Sunday evening, August 16^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway and Oak Orchard Road for a reporting where a vehicle was rear ended.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad as well as a Millsboro EMS unit. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew were updated with incident information that included the accident occurred on John J. Williams Highway in the area of Legion Road and the vehicles relocated to the area in front of Weis Market at the Nanticoke Crossing Shopping Center off John J. Williams Highway.

Emergency response crew assignments included patient stabilization and evaluation, vehicle evaluation and request for a transport unit from Millsboro which transported two persons.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic contact as necessary.

The Delaware State Police are investigating the incident.
