Nature:  Houston VFC Provided Pre-Arranged Standby Assignment for Indian River

Location:  Station #2 – Banks Road

On Saturday, August 15^th, the Houston (52) Volunteer Fire Company provided a pre-arranged standby event for the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company while we hosted our Open House & Truck Housing Event at our Long Neck Station 2 facility.

These mutual aid agreements allow volunteer fire departments like the Houston Volunteer Fire Company to provide pre-arranged standby and cover-up assignments. This ensures uninterrupted emergency protection while host departments engage in community events like station open houses, et. al.
