On Friday afternoon, July 3^rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a gas leak at a commercial facility on Long Neck Road.  It was reported to a large propane tank at the back of the commercial property leaking.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included an initial incident evaluation and observation, notification of proper utility service company, and continued to monitor the issue until arrival service company.

It was identified that an active propane leak near the release valve was present.  The relief valve needed to be reseated.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control on Long Neck Road for the duration of the incident..
