Nature: Vehicle Fire

Location: 35490 East Harbor Dr, 19966

On Wednesday, July 1^st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle fire on East Harbor Drive in the White House Beach development off Long Neck Road.  It was reported to be a pick up truck on fire with the possibility of one person with mild burns. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew actions included a request for EMS to be added to the dispatch based upon report and fire suppression measures for arriving units.

It appears that a white pick-up had a fire in the bed of the truck where some equipment with pump and motor were housed.  The fire was quickly suppressed before arrival of emergency response units.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal responded to the incident location.
