Nature: Electrical Hazard / Fire

Location: 32257 Robin Hoods Loop Sherwood Forest, DE 19966

On Wednesday, June 10^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an electrical hazard / fire on Robin Hoods Loop in the Sherwood Forest development.  It was reported that the electrical box “blew up” and can see smoke but not flames.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 and Brush 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments include an incident evaluation and notification of the appropriate utility service provider was coordinated with the Emergency Operations Center with proper identification numbers.

It appears that an electrical condition was present at the site requiring the electric company to respond. Emergency response apparatus was reduced to the first arriving apparatus cancelling or returning all others.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control.
