Nature: MVC – Rollover

Location: 30874-32113 Holly Lake Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Wednesday, May 27^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident involving a rollover on Holly Lake Road off John J. Williams Highway.  Additional emergency response units included the Sussex County Paramedics, the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit – Trooper 2.  It was reported to be a single vehicle roll-over when another motorist came upon the incident.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. 

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, patient stabilization, traffic control, fluid and debris recovery as well as overall incident mitigation.  The aviation units was cancelled as was the additional paramedic resources.

It appears that a Toyota Highlander was traveling on Holly Lake Road and overturned.  Another motorist traveling on Holly Lake Road came upon the incident and reported.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident closing Holly Lake Road.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
