Nature: Medical Emergency – Landing Zone Assignment

City: Rehoboth Shores

On Tuesday morning, May 26^th , the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to assist the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and Sussex County Paramedics with a landing zone assignment in the Rehoboth Shores development off Long Neck Road. Additional emergency alerts included the Sussex County Paramedics and the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit – Trooper #2.

The aviation unit was cancelled due to weather; therefore, all fire company personnel and emergency response apparatus were authorized to return to their respective quarters after the assignment was completed.
