Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics
Location: 33488 Cleek Way Baywood, DE 19966
On Saturday evening, May 23rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for vehicle accident involving a golf cart on Cleek Way in the Baywood development. Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and the Sussex County Paramedics. It was reported to be an incident involving a golf cart into a residential structure with a person on the ground nearby.
Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Incident Command 80 and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.
Emergency response crew assignments included patient stabilization, vehicle stabilization if needed, other mitigation efforts regarding the incident.
In appears that a golf cart lost control ejecting one and struck a nearby residential structure. One person was transported to nearby medical facilities for additional observation. All aviation units were down due to weather conditions.
The Delaware State Police are investigating.
