On Monday evening, May 11th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm incident within a residential structure in the Warwick Park development on Sioux Drive. It was reported to be an automatic alarm activation in a residential structure with a possible gas leak. 
  
Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  
  
Emergency response units from Indian River coordinated an initial exterior residential survey and commenced with an interior evaluation and immediately identified a potential gas leak situation within the residential structure.   Gas meter readings confirmed elevated levels of gas detection and the respective utility service provider was notified. 


Assistance was provided to the residential occupants awaiting the service provider.
