On Thursday, April 30^th, the Indian River and Millsboro fire companies were alerted for a residential carbon monoxide alarm activation on Andrew Jackson Drive in the Independence development.  It was reported to a be CO detector activation within the garage area.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included an exterior and interior evaluation was gas meters as well as assistance with ventilating the garage area as well as assisting the Millsboro Fire Department as needed.

It appears that the activation originated in the garage area of the residential structure.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic in the area.
