Nature: Fire Alarms - Commercial Structure

On Thursday afternoon, April 30th, the Indian River (80) Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm incident within a commercial structure on Long Neck Road.  It was reported to be an automatic fire alarm activation in a commercial structure – M&T Bank.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard location and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility. The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with this incident as well.

Emergency response units from Indian River provided an exterior evaluation and identified issues were associated with a culinary mishap at the incident location.

A firefighter from the Lewes (82) Fire Department was on location and provided an updated that the incident involved burnt food in the microwave and there was not any fire.

Upon confirmation, all apparatus units were authorized to return to their respective quarters.
