Nature: Traffic Collision

Location: itao Chase Bank (80) / Victoria’s Landing

On Thursday morning, April 30^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident in the area of Chase Bank near the intersection of John J. Williams Highway and Bay Farm Road.  It was reported to be a two vehicle collision with no additional information.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 and the Delaware State Fire Police. Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad, the Lewes Fire Dept. for an EMS unit and the Sussex County Paramedics.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, patient stabilization, traffic control, fluid and debris recovery, canine assistance, and overall incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a Ford F150 pick up and a white Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera collided causing significant damage to the vehicles and requiring EMS services for some of the vehicle occupants.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
