Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm – Residential – Second alarm in fire district

On Sunday morning, April 19th, the Indian River (80) Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm incident within a residential structure on Heartwood Cove in the Pot Nets Lakeside development.  It was reported to be an automatic fire alarm activation in a single-family residential structure.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard location while all other apparatus and resources were assigned to a medical emergency within the fire district. The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with this incident as well.

Emergency response units from Indian River provided an exterior evaluation and identified issues were associated with changing of the batteries at the residential location.

Upon confirmation, all apparatus units were authorized to return to their respective quarters.
