Nature: Water Rescue

On Sunday afternoon, March 29^th, the Indian River (80), Dagsboro (73) and Georgetown (77) fire companies were alerted to assist Millsboro (83) with a water rescue incident in the pond behind the residential address on Gravel Hill Road.  It was reported that a boat hit log and was sinking, with one subject on top of the board and two other subjects in the water swimming towards a nearby island.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Utility 80-8 with 80 Marine 2 from the Oak Orchard facility.

Emergency response crew assignments included responding to the designated staging and/or launch location.

It appears that the initial incident reports were accurate and a Good Samaritan was rendering assistance pending arrival of emergency response units.
