Nature: MVC – BLS – John J. Williams Highway near Concord Pet

Location: 26209 John J. Williams Highway, Millsboro

On Friday afternoon, March 20^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway in the vicinity of Concord Pet.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.  It was reported to be a two vehicle accident.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included patient stabilization, vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control and overall incident mitigation.  The was a fuel leak from one of the vehicles.

It appears that a grey Chevrolet Aveo and a tan Chevrolet Impala collided at the entrance to Harris Teeter causing damage to both vehicles.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
