Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Bay Farm Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Wednesday, March 11^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and Mid Sussex Rescue Squad were alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway at Bay Farm Road.  It was reported to be a two vehicle collision at that location.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, patient stabilization, traffic control, fluid and debris recovery as well as overall included mitigation efforts.

It appears that a blue Chevrolet Equinox and a red KIA Soul collided at the intersection causing damage to both vehicles and rendering them inoperable.  One person was transported to nearby medical facilities.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
