Nature: Vehicle Fire

Location: 29138 Cordrey Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Wednesday evening, February 25^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle fire on Cordrey Road between William Street Road and Carlos Lane.  It was reported that the vehicle was on fire.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Traffic Control Unit and the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments were fully suppression the vehicle fire, traffic control and overall incident mitigation.  The vehicle was in motion so notification to the Delaware State Police was required.

It appears that a vehicle caught fire on Cordrey Road while traveling down the roadway. The vehicle was fully involved upon arrival of emergency response apparatus.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
