Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Hollymount Rd and John J Williams Hwy Millsboro, DE 19966

On Sunday morning, February 22^nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on john J. Williams Highway @ Hollymount Road.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and the Delaware State Fire Police.  It was reported to be a two-vehicle accident with minor injuries.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Chief 80-15 and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 and Traffic Control 80 from the Long Neck area as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included patient stabilization, vehicle stabilization, traffic control, fluid and debris recovery as well as overall incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a white Honda HRV and black Toyota Pick up collided at the intersection causing minor injuries to the vehicle occupants and rendering one vehicle inoperable.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident.   Traffic patterns along John J. Williams Highway were alerted for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
