Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: 26395 Bay Farm Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Monday afternoon, February 9^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle on Bay Farm Road at the entrance to the Bay Back Shopping center.  Additional emergency alerts in the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.  It was reported to be two vehicle collision in the intersection rendering both vehicles inoperable.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facilities as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

It appears that a black Subaru Forester and silver Toyota Avalon collided at the intersection rending both vehicle inoperable and in the middle of the roadway.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with the traffic control unit for the duration of the incident.  The Bay Farm Road was closed between School Lane and John J. Williams Highway.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
