On Tuesday, January 27th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to assist the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad for manpower assist incidents.
In fire department operations, a medical incident - manpower assist refers to the dispatch of a fire engine, truck, or squad to assist an ambulance crew with a medical emergency.
Key Reasons for Manpower Assist included but not limited to:
