Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm – Residential

Location: 23758 Brickwalk Dr., The Peninsula, DE 19966

On Monday, January 19^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential location on Brickwalk Drive in the Peninsula development off Bay Road.  It was reported to be a general automatic fire alarm sounding.

Emergency response units from Indian River include Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility.

Emergency response crew assignments included an exterior evaluation and initial interior evaluation discussing with the occupants at the residential structure.

It was determined that the residential occupants were attempting to change batteries and did realize that the alarm company was being activated.

All emergency response units were authorized to return to their respective stations.
