Nature: Automatic Crash Notification

Address: Bay Farm Rd and Fowlers Path Peninsula Lakes, DE 19966

On Thursday, January 15th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and Mid Sussex Rescue Squad were alerted for an automatic crash notification on Bay Farm Road and Fowlers Path near the entrance to the Peninsula Lakes.  This incident was reported based upon an iPhone activation and was a second alarm in the fire district.

Emergency response apparatus from Indian River’s Long Neck Station was routed to this incident.  The assigned unit was Squad 80.

After evaluation, the incident was identified as labeled as unfounded and Squad 80 proceeded to the earlier alerted vehicle accident with entrapment.
