Nature: Traffic Collision w/Injuries

Address: Bay Farm Rd and John J Williams Hwy Millsboro, DE 19966

On Monday evening, January 5^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway and Bay Farm Road.  Additional emergency responses included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.  It was reported to be a two-vehicle collision with the possibly of one patient.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. 

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, patient stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control, and overall incident mitigation services.

It appears that a blue Ford F150 pick up struck the rear of a white Ford Escape causing damage to both vehicles.  One person was transported to nearby medical facilities.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
