Nature: Carbon Monoxide Detector

On Thursday, November 24th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a carbon monoxide (CO) detector activation inside a residential structure. It was reported to have multiple detectors being activated.
Emergency response units from Long Neck included Engine #80-3 and Oak Orchard were Engine #80-2 and Rescue 80. Emergency response crews were assigned to ascertain the CO levels within the interior of the residence. It was also noted that a new heater was recently installed.
The propane services were shut-off to the residence and positive pressure ventilation was completed.
The occupants were notified to contact their HVAC representatives.
There were no additional services needed.
