In the past, Jason has held the positions of 2nd Assistant Chief, Captain, Rescue Captain, and Lieutenant. Jason has been awarded the Hurst - Jaws of Life - Green Cross , Hurst - Jaws of Life - Green Cross , IR Firefighter of the Year, Hurst - Jaws of Life - Green Cross , and IR Incident Top Responder awards. Jason joined the Delaware Fire Service in July 1996 and assisted the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company in the following capacities:

Junior Firefighter;

Active Firefighter;

Second Assistant Chief;

Captain; and

Lieutenant.

Jason has been awarded the Green Cross Award via Hurst – Jaws of Life multiple times for life saving practices in vehicle rescue as well as Indian River’s Firefighter of the Year and Top Incident Responder for many years.

Jason joined the United States Marine Corp and served four years.
