The Delaware Department of Transportation (DELDOT) will be conducting a crossroad pipe replacement initiative on Delaware 24 (SR24 - John J. Williams Highway) and will require a portion of the roadway to be closed.

The section of SR24 between Long Neck Road and Banks Road will be closed for the time period of Monday, March 27th thru Friday, April 7th.  This will impact both east and west bound traffic patterns.

DELDOT would like to alert traveling motorists that the removal and replacement of multiple crossroad pipes will impact the following roadway between 7 a.m. on Monday, March 27 until 5 p.m. on Friday, April 7, pending weather

SR 24/John J. Williams Highway will be closed between Long Neck Road and Banks Road.

Detour Routes:

SR 24 eastbound: Right on Long Neck Road, left onto Banks Road and return to SR 24.

SR 24 westbound: Left on Banks Road, right onto Long Neck Road and back to SR 24.

Detour signage will be posted for motorists.
