Indian River Promotes Fire Prevention During Summer months of 2015 During the summer of months of 2015, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company has pursued numerous venues to advocate for greater fire prevention awareness within our community by attending and making presentations at local churches, community car shows, homeowner association meetings, parades, open houses, etc. Indian River knows firsthand the destruction and devastation to family lives and communities that is caused by fire and has pursued greater strategies to include but not limited to education to enhance awareness of fire dangers and promote safe actions. Together, as a community partnership, we can help prevent tragic fire injury, death, and loss. This can be accomplished by: • Increasing advocacy for fire prevention in your community to increase awareness and changing of personal habits; and • Developing favorable relationships in your community to build support and foster advocates for fie safety.
