Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

ON Wednesday morning, February 1^st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and Mid Sussex Rescue Squad were alerted for a vehicle accident on Long Neck Road in the vicinity of Uncle Willie’s Store.  It was reported to be a vehicle running into the building with occupant having chest pains.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Chief 80-15 who was in the vicinity of the incident and responded. 

Emergency response units from Indian River were cancelled immediately after dispatch.  Additional emergency alerts included the Sussex County Paramedics. 

It appears that a grey Volkswagen Jetta was attempting to park in the parking lot and struck the building of the Uncle Willie’s Shop.  The vehicle and building suffered extremely minor damage if any.  However, the occupant was evaluated and transported to nearby medical facilities.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
