Indian River Recognizes James R. Wagner – 90 Years of Age

On Wednesday, December 2, 2020, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company recognized James R. Wagner on his 90^th Birthday.  Additionally, Jim joined the volunteer fire services in December 1948 at the age of eighteen (18) and serving 72 consecutive years in both Pennsylvania and Delaware volunteer fire service. 

Jimmy was presented with an impromptu fire truck parade with the procession being lead by his son, Bruce whom is also in the volunteer fire service. 

Jimmy has served in the following fire line operation positions: Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer, Chief Engineer, Deputy Chief and Chief as well as many leadership positions in the in the volunteer fire service.
