Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: 35656 Boat House Ln Millsboro, DE 19966

Early Wednesday morning, July 29th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on the entrance road to White House Beach. It was reported to be a single vehicle into a tree.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 and Chief 80-15 from the Oak Orchard area and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, scene mitigation, traffic control, and scene preservation until the Delaware State Police concluded their investigation.

It appears that a Chevrolet Trailblazer was traveling on Boat House Lane into the White House Beach development and failed to successfully navigate a slight curve thereby striking a tree. The operator of the vehicle then proceeded to walk to his place of domicile and to notify the proper authorities.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
