Nature: Vehicle Accident

On Saturday afternoon, October 31^st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway in the vicinity of Holly Lake Road. Additional emergency alerts included Sussex County Paramedics and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.  It was reported to be a vehicle accident involving a scooter.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included patient stabilization, vehicle stabilization where necessary, traffic control and overall incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that person was riding a scooter type vehicle and fell off on John J. Williams Highway in the vicinity of Holly Lake Road.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
