On Monday morning, October 26th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a brush / mulch fire incident at the residential apartment building on Harvard Avenue in the Carillon Woods development off of Indian Mission Road.  It was reported to be a mulch fire right outside the apartment in the flower beds.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Brush 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews evaluated and saturated the area making sure suppression was complete.

All emergency response units were authorized to return to their respective stations.
