Nature: MVC – BLS – Back Bay Liquors

Location:  20205 John J. Williams Highway, Millsboro

On Sunday afternoon, October 4th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a motor vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway in the vicinity of Back Bay Liquors.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad. This incident alert was for a two-vehicle minor accident with request for EMS evaluation.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response personnel were assigned to assist the EMS personnel, traffic control, fluid and debris recovery and vehicle stabilization where needed.

It appears that a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee and a silver Chevrolet Trax collided near the intersection entrance to the shopping center causing damage to both vehicles.

The emergency response units from the Long Neck facility were cancelled upon arrival and the incident was turned over to the Delaware State Police with the assistance of the Delaware State Fire Police.
