Nature: Structure Fire – Residential – Pot Nets Dockside – West Pintail Road

On Wednesday, September 30th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a residential structure fire on West Pintail Road in the Pot Nets Dockside development off Long Neck Road. It was reported to be a strange odor and hot spot within the floor area.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews coordinated an exterior and interior evaluation of the residential property before with commencing with a crawl space evaluation.  It was identified to be water leak under the flooring in the crawl space.

All emergency response apparatus were authorized to return to their quarters upon compilation of their assignments.
