Nature: Fire Alarm – Residential – The Peninsula – Sterling Blvd

On Monday, September 28th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a fire alarm sounding in a residential structure on Sterling Blvd in the Peninsula development off Bay Farm Road. It was reported to be detectors within Zone 15 inside the residential structure.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews coordinated an exterior and interior evaluation of the residential property.  It was identified to be faulty detectors and reviewed with the residential occupants

All emergency response apparatus were authorized to return to their quarters upon compilation of their assignments.
