Nature: Cardboard Canoe Event - Benefits Indian River – Long Neck Station 

Location: Pot Nets Bayside

On Saturday, September 19^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was invited to the Cardboard Canoe Regatta in the Pot Nets Bayside development and was the benefactor for the contributions and donations.   This event was sponsored by the Pot Nets Homeowners Association (PNHOA).

The cardboard canoe and boat event at Pot-Nets Bayside is a popular community gathering where residents design, build, and race homemade vessels.

Event Highlights:

• The Competition: Participants build boats and paddles using nothing but corrugated cardboard and duct tape. The goal is to race across the water to a designated finish line without sinking.

• Community Spirit: The event typically takes place on a Saturday afternoon as part of Pot-Nets Bayside's seasonal summer activities, drawing large crowds of neighbors and families cheering from the sidelines.

• Location: The race is organized within the waterfront community of Pot-Nets Bayside located off Long Neck Road in Long Neck, DE.

The overall fundraising donations presented to Indian River tallied $654

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company hereby acknowledges and thanks the participants, patrons and donors for this generous contribution.
