Nature: Medical Emergency – Lift Assist

Location:  Pot Nets Coveside

On Friday morning, September 4^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to assist the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad with a lifting assignment in the Pot Nets Coveside development off Long Neck Road.

These lift assist calls typically involve trained firefighters providing extra manpower and specialized equipment alongside local emergency medical services (EMS) providers to help residents, particularly seniors or individuals with mobility challenges. The fire department lift assist assignment is a vital part of their community outreach and extends beyond emergency response to encompass the everyday needs of residents.

All fire company personnel and emergency response apparatus were authorized to return to their respective quarters after the lift assist assignment was completed.
