Nature: Structure Fire – Residential Structure – River Road – SECOND ALARM IN DISTRICT

On Friday morning, September 4^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a second alarm in the fire district with a residential structure on River Road.  It was reported that the occupants heard a pop and now smells smoke within the residential structure.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the scene of the earlier vehicle accident and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Safety Officer was able to attend via personal vehicle.

Emergency response crew assignments included an exterior and interior evaluation, after incident report, and coordinated an overall evaluation within the structure. 

After evaluation and discussion with the home occupants all emergency response units were authorized to return to their respective stations.
