Nature: Carbon Monoxide Detector Activation

On Thursday morning, August 27th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a carbon monoxide detector on Marina Bay Circle in the Peninsula development off Bay Farm Road.  It was reported that the CO alarm is going off.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility. 

Emergency response crews coordinated an exterior evaluation and commenced with an interior evaluation with gas meter readings and identified an issue within the residential structure.  The were excessive gas readings within the structure.

The first responders communicated their incident findings to the incident commander and notified the residential personnel accordingly.  The utility service provider was requested to respond to the incident.  The gas service was shut off to the residential structure.
