Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm – Commercial Structure

On Sunday evening, August 23rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm sounding at a commercial location on John J. Williams Highway at the Nanticoke Indian Museum.  It was reported to be a Zone 8 – automatic fire alarm.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 and Squad 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews arrived and identified a single-story commercial structure with the nothing evident from the exterior.  After access was granted, the first responders did not find any conditions; however, did identify a faulting detector.

All emergency response units were authorized to cancel and return to their respective stations.
