Nature: Lady Bagel Bombers 10U Black Car Wash

Location: Indian River – Station #1 – Oak Orchard

The Lady Bagel Bombers 10U Black softball team hosted a car wash at Indian River Volunteer Fire Company Station #1 — and it turned into a genuinely strong benefit for the players and their program.

These ladies ran a donation based car wash on Sunday, August 23, 2026 (9 a.m.–1 p.m.) at Indian River Volunteer Fire Company – Station #1 - 32628 Oak Orchard Road, Millsboro, DE, and the event drew community support that helped the team financially and socially.

The event was successful based upon:

• High visibility location — Hosting at Indian River Station #1 gave them steady traffic and strong community turnout.

• Donation model — No fixed price meant supporters could give generously, which typically boosts fundraising totals.

• Community partnership — Being hosted by the fire company added legitimacy and encouraged local families, including fire company first responders to stop by and benefit from from the car wash and dry event.

• Team engagement — Events like this help youth teams build teamwork, confidence, and community presence.

Thank you to all that came out and supported the Lady Bagel Bombers 10U today at the Car Wash as we raised $1,400 dollars to help the team out!! The girls had an absolute blast!
