Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm – Residential – River Road

On Wednesday evening, August 19th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm sounding in a residential structure on River Road in the vicinity of Riverdale.  It was reported as an automatic fire alarm activation.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility.

Emergency response crews coordinated an exterior evaluation with a firefighter on-scene and found nothing evident from the exterior.   It was determined to be a false alarm activation and allowed all emergency response units to return to the quarters after discussion.
