Nature: Automatic Fire Alarm – Walnut St. – Bay City

On Tuesday morning, August 18^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm sounding in a residential structure on Walnut Street in the Bay City development off Long Neck Road.  It was reported as a general fire and CO alarms sounding.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility.

Emergency response crews coordinated an exterior and interior evaluation of the residential structure as well as gas meter readings which were unfounded.

Emergency response units were authorized to return to the quarters after discussion with the residential occupants.
